7th edition of Tomar Jazz
In 2027, the city of Tomar will host another edition of Tomar Jazz Festival, bringing together established musicians, young talents and up-and-coming acts in a programme that includes concerts, artistic workshops and activities related to the visual arts.

4th edition of Floating Lanterns' Festival
The Floating Lantern Festival in Tomar lights up the River Nabão with around a thousand eco-friendly lanterns made from cork and paper. Organised by the D. Nuno Álvares Pereira School, this beautiful event attracting hundreds of people to watch the lights on the water.

17th edition of Tomar Book Fair
Organised by the City Hall , Tomar Book Fair in Complexo Cultural da Levada in June, showcasing the most iconic Portuguese writers and offering several talks and creative workshops. The 2026 edition payed a due homage to the renowned composer Fernando Lopes-Graça, who was born in Tomar in 1906. He is considered one of the most eminent Portuguese composers and musicologists of the 20th century.

Trays' Feast - Festa dos Tabuleiros
When King D.Dinis obtained from pope John XXII the creation of the Military Order of Christ, which was to render such inestimable services to Portugal and the World, his virtuous wife, Queen Isabel de Aragão – the Saint – laid the foundation of the great movement of Christian solidarity by instituting the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, over the Apostles, with festivities and rituals which in many cases undoubtedly of old pagan origin, like the “Festa dos Tabuleiros”. In Tomar the festivities remained unchanged until the 17th Century.
The Trays’ Festival takes place every 4 years in the beginning of July in Tomar.

17th edition of ZêzereArts Festival
ZêzereArts is a classical music festival held annually during the summer, typically over a period of two to three weeks between late July and early August, in the Médio Tejo region of Portugal.
ZêzereArts welcomes musicians from a variety of backgrounds: young string and wind instrumentalists, soloists, and choir members who are either in the advanced stages of their training or already working professionally. During the residency, intensive rehearsals take place—individual, chamber, choral, and orchestral—culminating in public concerts held in the region’s historic venues: monuments, convents, and churches such as the Convento de Cristo the Mosteiro da Batalha. During the festival, the public can attend at least one concert per day.

Bons Sons Festival
In 2028, BONS SONS returns to Cem Soldos village with the symbolic strength of those who make staying put a form of creation. This iconic biannual festival transforms the village into a space for listening, encounter and discovery, bringing together established names in Portuguese music, new forms of expression, oral tradition, dance, cinema, community and critical thinking. Under the banner of resistance, the festival reaffirms what has long set it apart: it is not merely a line-up staged in a village, but an entire village making the festival happen.
