Vista Alegre complex

The Vista Alegre Historic Museum reunites the History of the company created by José Ferreira Pinto Basto, the evolution of the factory and of its collections throughout almost 200 years of existence, as well as the emblematic connection between the factory and the people of Ílhavo.

Each tile tells a story. Tiles are part of the Portuguese identity, embellishing the country from North to South. A testimony of the enduring influence of the Arab culture and heritage in Portugal. They can be colourful, historical and artistic. All of them with a common denominator: showing the underlining importance of cultural miscegenation in the definition of the country.

Natural Reserve of Paul do Boquilobo

Situated on the left bank of Tagus River, the Natural Reserve of Paul do Boquilobo follows a section of Almonda river born in the Mountain of Serra de Aire e Candeeiros that flows to the right bank of Tagus.
