Organised since 2015 by the City Hall of Óbidos and the bookshop Ler Devagar, F(O)LIO - Óbidos International Literary Festival is certainly the most prestigious literary festival in Portugal. An event that congregates the best international and national writers, deeply enganging the local community and interacting with the unique scenario of the Medieval village of Óbidos. A literary town that welcomes book lovers from all over the world!
This year's edition of F(O)LIO - Óbidos International Literary Festival is being held from October 6th to 16th. The theme is the Power of Words. This festival is utterly eclectic, embracing authors, readers, musicians, artists and creatives in a fruitful dialogue. Among many renowned writers, Nobel award-winning Polish writer Olga Tokarczuk and Nigerian writer Wole Soyinka will also be at this year's edition.
Divided in 5 chapters - Authors, Folia, Educa, Ilustra and Bohemia - the book is the main character of this absolutely unique international literary festival!
