Electric Ferryboat “Salicórnia”

This is the first electric ferryboat totally produced in Portugal, as well as the first one in the Iberian Peninsula.
This vessel will have zero CO2 emissions, eliminating over 300 tonnes of CO2 released by the current model and reducing energy consumption by around 30%.
The vessel will have the capacity to carry 260 passengers and 19 vehicles, 90% and 30% more than the current ferryboat, respectively.
In addition to this increased transport capacity, passenger comfort will be enhanced thanks to low noise levels and a 360º panoramic view on the upper deck, which will allow users to enjoy unique views of the Ria de Aveiro and São Jacinto beach.

Winter Experiences
Vale de Ílhavo

The smell of freshly baked bread filled Vale de Ílhavo.
Mix the flour, salt, yeast and water. Knead it well and leave to rise.
Then you need to roll it out and stretch it. Put it in a hot wood-fired oven, and there you have “Padas de Ílhavo”.
There are padas, folares and pumpkin bread with cinnamon.
But don't expect to find bakeries: you have to go to Mr Álvaro Ratola's house at Rua Prior Valente 133, or to Mrs Lurdes Silva house at R. da Fonte 23, also in Vale de Ílhavo.
Expect to find lots of firewood at the door and friendly warm people, smelling of bread.
And then there's ‘Mãos Na Massa’ (Hands On): mixing flour, yeast, water and salt,. Os Baldas’ Cultural Association knows everything about Padas de Vale de Ílhavo.
