Côa - Corredor das Artes
Organised by Rewilding Portugal, the 1st edition of the festival Côa - Corredor das Artes will be held on the 5 weekends of July in 5 different locations of the Great Côa Valley: Sabugal, Faia Brava Natural Reserve - Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Pinhel, Côa Museum - Vila Nova de Foz Côa and in the Historical Village of Almeida. The festival seeks to connect artists with communities in a natural environment, the Great Côa Valley, in order to co-create art pieces that melt into the landscape.
Happenning in Vale Carapito
Vale Carapito will showcase the artistic residence of the Brazilian contemporary artist Marcelo Moscheta. All the artistic interventions in the landscape will be made of natural elements that will naturally decay. The Côa - Corredor das Artes Festival is an inspiring event of a truly sustainable art festival integrated in the surrounding nature!
Happening in Ermo das Águias
The Swiss artist Gaspard Combes, with the contribution of Rui Marques (Rewilding Portugal), developed in Ermo das Águias rewilding area, his work, "Homo Stabilis". This work pays tribute to the strong connection that the municipality of Pinhel has with this natural and resistant material that is granite, through the representation of these three human figures.
Happening in Paul de Toirões
A photo tour will be held on July 10th at 10 a.m. and will be guided by Fernando Romão, an experienced guide and a deep connaisseur of the Great Côa Valley. An unique opportunity to experience the sheer beauty of the surrounding region! A true oasis of wildlife.
