In Center of Portugal, the prestigious Universities of Aveiro and University of Beira Interior, in Covilhã, are at the forefront of innovative water-based sustainable projects, developing smart nature-based solutions to reduce water consumption and to protect biodiversity and natural ecosystems, while raising public awareness on urgent sustainable practices. This project consists of the promotion of the culture of writing and reading through he organisation of festivals, presentations, meetings, representations, projections, concerts, reading and writing sessions.

The iconic "Portuguese Venice"is a vibrant colourful coastal city, beautifully ornamented with stunning tiles and skilful Art nouveau façades. A happy mix of tradition and creative innovation, where all roads lead to the inspiring Aveiro Lagoon. Either by bike, on foot or by solar-powered Moliceiro boat, Aveiro is better with friends !
