The orchid species Cephalanthera longifolia is one of the few white orchids blooming in Portugal. It can be easily spotted amidst forest glades and on roadsides, in transition zones between oak tree or pine forests and low bushes. 

Coimbra has always been one of the most culturally relevant cities in Portugal. Its historical cafes were the stage of many enlightening discussions between prominent Portuguese writers, where they shared their visions for the future of the country. The historic Café Paraíso in Tomar is a must-see stop of Portugal's Templar city, meeting point of prestigious intellectuals like Umberto Eco. Óbidos is a major open-air bookshop, a place where the written word is worshipped and celebrated.
