Embraced by the Mondego River, the enchanting city of Coimbra has countless attractions on both sides of the river. 

The orchid species Cephalanthera longifolia is one of the few white orchids blooming in Portugal. It can be easily spotted amidst forest glades and on roadsides, in transition zones between oak tree or pine forests and low bushes. 

Aveiro cuisine is naturally deeply influenced by the sea flavours, for there are many restaurants in the city where we can eat the freshest fish varieties and seafood. And obviously, codfish. Portugal's favourite fish.
